Terms and Conditions of Participation for the Instagram Giveaway for Erstiparty 2026

1. Organiser

The organiser of the giveaway is:

The Student Body of Lübeck University of Applied Sciences is hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”.

2. Subject of the Giveaway

As part of the giveaway, the Organiser will award up to ten prizes. Each prize consists of two admission tickets for Erstiparty 2026.

A total of up to 10 × 2 admission tickets will therefore be awarded.

If fewer than ten people validly participate in the giveaway, no more than one prize of two admission tickets will be awarded per participating person. Any prizes or admission tickets not awarded will expire without replacement.

3. Participation Period

The giveaway begins on 1 August 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and ends on 1 September 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

The time displayed by Instagram for the respective participation action shall be decisive. Entries submitted before the beginning or after the end of the participation period will not be considered.

4. Eligibility

Natural persons who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation and have their place of residence in Germany are eligible to participate.

Employees, members and representatives of the Organiser who are directly involved in the planning, organisation or implementation of the giveaway, as well as their relatives, are excluded from participation.

Participation is free of charge and is not conditional upon the purchase of any goods or services.

5. Participation Requirements

To participate validly, all of the following requirements must be fulfilled during the participation period:

1. Follow the Instagram account @asta_thl.
2. Follow the Instagram account @volksbank_luebeck.
3. Like the Instagram post relating to the giveaway.
4. Tag a friend in the comments below the giveaway post with whom the participant would like to attend Erstiparty 2026.

The above requirements must remain fulfilled at least until the end of the participation period. The Organiser is entitled to verify this before awarding the prize.

Only one entry per person and Instagram account is permitted. Multiple comments, tagging several people or repeated participation do not increase the chances of winning.

Only real persons may be tagged. The tagged person should agree to being tagged. Tagging celebrities, companies, brands, giveaway accounts, fake accounts or other clearly unrelated accounts is not permitted.

6. Selection of Winners

After the participation period has ended, up to ten winners will be selected at random from all persons who fully meet the terms and conditions of participation.

Each winner will receive two admission tickets for Erstiparty 2026.

Each person may receive no more than one prize.

If fewer than ten valid entries are received, the number of prizes awarded will be limited to the number of valid participants. There is no entitlement to the allocation of any remaining prizes. Admission tickets that are not awarded will expire.

7. Notification and Acceptance of the Prize

After the draw has been completed, the winners will be notified by private message to the Instagram account used to participate in the giveaway.

To claim the prize, notified persons must respond to the Organiser within 48 hours after the prize notification has been sent and provide the information required to issue the admission tickets.

If no response is received within this period, the entitlement to the prize may expire. In this case, the Organiser is entitled to select another participant. There is no entitlement to a second notification.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they can receive private messages on Instagram and for checking their inbox, including message requests.

8. Prize and Delivery

The prize consists exclusively of the admission tickets specified in these terms and conditions. Any other costs connected with the prize, in particular travel, return travel, food or accommodation expenses, will not be covered.

Cash payment, interest, reimbursement or payment of the equivalent value of the admission tickets is excluded.

The admission tickets will be provided digitally or in another manner communicated by the Organiser.

The event, admission and ticket terms applicable to Erstiparty 2026 also apply to the use of the admission tickets.

9. Exclusion from the Giveaway

The Organiser may exclude persons from participation or revoke a prize already awarded if there is good cause. Good cause includes, in particular:

• false or misleading information,
• violations of these terms and conditions of participation,
• manipulation or attempted manipulation of the giveaway,
• the use of multiple or fake Instagram accounts,
• automated entries,
• unlawful, insulting or discriminatory comments,
• comments that infringe the rights of other persons, in particular personality rights, copyrights or trademark rights,
• the use of giveaway or collection accounts where these are clearly used exclusively for entering giveaways.

In the event of exclusion, the prize may be redrawn among the remaining valid participants.

10. Amendment, Interruption and Termination

The Organiser reserves the right to amend, interrupt or terminate the giveaway early for good cause. This applies in particular if proper implementation can no longer be guaranteed for technical, organisational or legal reasons.

Where possible, the Organiser will provide information about material changes or early termination in the giveaway post or via the Instagram account @asta_thl.

11. Cancellation or Postponement of the Event

If Erstiparty 2026 has to be cancelled, postponed or materially changed, any resulting rights will be governed by the terms applicable to the event and the admission tickets, as well as by statutory law.

Since the admission tickets are provided free of charge as part of a giveaway, there is no entitlement to payment or reimbursement of the ticket value.

12. Data Protection

In connection with the giveaway, the Organiser processes, in particular, the publicly visible Instagram username, the participation actions performed and, in the event of winning, the contact and identification data submitted.

The data is processed for the purposes of conducting the giveaway, verifying the participation requirements, selecting and notifying the winners and providing the prizes. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Personal data collected directly by the Organiser for the purpose of administering the prize will be deleted once the giveaway has been fully completed and there are no statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons for further storage.

Publicly visible comments, tags and likes are processed within Instagram. The Organiser has only limited influence over the processing and retention period applied by the platform operator.

13. Information Regarding Instagram and Volksbank

This giveaway is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram or Meta.

Instagram and Meta are not the organisers of the giveaway. All questions, comments or complaints relating to the giveaway must be directed exclusively to the Organiser.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the giveaway post, Volksbank Lübeck eG is a cooperation partner of the giveaway but is not its organiser. The Organiser alone is responsible for conducting the giveaway and awarding the prizes.

14. Applicable Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which a participant has their habitual residence remain unaffected.

15. Final Provisions

Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions of participation be or become wholly or partially invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions will remain unaffected.

Legal recourse is excluded with regard to the conduct of the prize draw. Statutory claims remain unaffected.
